As of February 13, 2014, we have moved NIOT Princeton’s blog from Blogspot to this site on WordPress. Thanks for your patience! Thanks especially to John LeMasney, consultant extraordinaire. John drastically trimmed costs by offering phone consultations “at point of need.” I accomplished what I could, and he guided me through the next steps.

What’s new? What used to be merely a blog now looks and feels like a website.

LeMasney translated our silhouette motif to be the header. To say I am happy about the result is a huge understatement.

We have four items on our menu. ABOUT is our mission statement. EVENTS is a list of the current dates of interest to those who follow Not in Our Town and/or The New Jim Crow. Click on OPINIONS and you will see the op-ed pieces that NIOT folks have either written or found. The SEARCH symbol is the magnifying glass.

So far we have seven CATEGORIES. Find them in the right-hand column on a full-size screen, below the posts on a small screen:

Awards (including our Unity Awards)
Continuing Conversations (first Monday discussions at the Princeton Public Library)
Events (announcements)
Opinion (pertinent articles and opeds)
Privilege (articles about white privilege or any kind of discrimination including gender)
Stand Against Racism
Stop Bullying
The New Jim Crow

ARCHIVES
: We’ve been sharing our efforts with the Princeton community — and global community — since 2009. Use the search widget to browse topics, or pick random posts.

TAGS: We can have an unlimited number of tags, and it will take awhile to get our tags transferred and reapplied to this new site. Using tags helps direct the right traffice to our website. If someone is searching on “bullying” or “white privilege” those tags will direct them to us.

New SHARING resources are at the bottom of each article. You can easily put the article on your Facebook page, or Tweet it, share it on Linked In or StumbleUpon. Or you can email it or print it.

Please click the LIKE button at the bottom of each post. If you like it! If you don’t, you can can COMMENT on any article and comments are encouraged. Let me know if you have any difficulty with that.
