When white friends don’t believe what blacks go through

“When they deny my life experience, I know the friendship has its boundaries. . . . They have to believe, and be willing to learn.”   So says award-winning multimedia journalist, Mary C. Curtis, in a September 9, 2014 blogpost.  She describes reactions of denial, excuses given, etc. when incidents of discrimination are detailed.  Not the response of a true friend.
