The 2015 Diversity Stride is scheduled for Saturday, June 6, 2015 at Liberty State Park in Jersey City, NJ. Diversity Stride participants will walk along a waterfront promenade as the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island serve as the backdrop for this event. This setting, which relates so closely to the mission and work of the American Conference on Diversity along with your presence and participation, will certainly make this event even more meaningful. This year ACOD’s goal is to raise $100,000 to support 20-25 schools! In order to do this we are seeking at least 500 walker from schools, community organizations, and corporations.

Every year, walkers from around the state raise money by asking their friends, family, co-workers and neighbors to sponsor them as they take the “Diversity Stride.”

The money raised by walkers, business sponsorships, and individual donations will fund the American Conference on Diversity’s Youth Leadership Institute programs. YOUR SUPPORT HAS A DIRECT IMPACT ON NEW JERSEY’S FUTURE LEADERS. Proceeds from this event help ACOD provide scholarships for schools and students to participate in our Youth Leadership Institute Programs. ACOD is able to provide more than $65,000 in financial assistance to schools that want to address bullying, bias, and discrimination on their campus. Program graduates ultimately become stronger leaders in their schools, workplaces, and communities.

Diversity Stride also brings the community together to demonstrate their commitment to diversity and inclusion. It’s a day of fun and excitement for all ages. Join us as we raise money to support a great cause. See http://acod-diversitystride.kintera.org/faf/home/default.asp?ievent=1132240 for more detailed information about what sounds like a great event.
