In the New York Times (August 17, 2015), Patricia Cohen reports on findings in a Federal Reserve study that ““White and Asian college grads do much better than their counterparts without college, while college-grad Hispanics and blacks do much worse proportionately.”  Factors included the large amount of debt taken on to finance education, the proportionately larger amount of investment in their homes rather than stocks and bonds, job market discrimination, and lack of prior family wealth.
