Strong Emotions.

Effectively addressing racism can put us in the path of strong emotions.

I overheard someone say, “I hate white people.”  What lies behind such strong emotions? Continuing Conversations will explore these feelings and white people’s reactions to them at 7pm on Tuesday, September 8, on the third floor of the Princeton Public Library. (Usually we meet on Mondays, but we’re pushing our meeting this month to Tuesday because of Labor Day.)

Our priority is to create a safe and welcoming atmosphere in which our African American sisters and brothers and other people of color will feel respected and have their stories listened to and really heard.  We are motivated to explore our own privilege and biases and to continue to learn and grow by hearing each other’s stories, so that we can best make a difference.”

We welcome anyone who is committed to working to dismantle racism to join us. Bring a friend!
