State wage gaps between African American women and white men were calculated by National Women’s Law Center (NWLC) based on 2010-2014 American Community Survey Five-Year Estimates (http://www.census.gov/acs/www/).  New Jersey ranks 50th out of 51 states plus the District of Columbia.  The median income for African American women in New Jersey is $42,761 compared to the median earnings of $73,551 for white, non-Hispanic men.
