Princeton High School’s students of color were affected by the use of the N-word in the recently publicized Snapchat incident as well as by racial slurs and other demeaning tactics used to diminish their value as individuals. Some of these students will be speaking at the next Civil Rights Commission meeting. Please plan on joining us on Tuesday, April 25 at 6:30 p.m. in the Main Meeting Room at Witherspoon Hall (the old Township Hall), 400 Witherspoon Street. N.B. Change of location in Witherspoon Hall.
This is your opportunity to hear the truth while demonstrating that you and others in our community care about how these students are treated and how they feel. Please make every effort to attend this meeting.
I have an orientation for my daughter her school for next year and cannot miss. How can I stayed engaged with this issue and demonstrate my support in other ways?

Stay tuned. This is the beginning of an ongoing effort. We particularly want to engage parents of PHS and other Princeton district students. If your daughter isn’t in Princeton schools, ask your school administration what they are doing about racial literacy and staff training about implicit bias and student support.
