The Nanticoke Lenni-Lenape civil rights lawsuit filed against the Christie administration for dropping state recognition of them as an Indian tribe after 30 years got a boost last week when a state appellate panel found that the tribe’s case had merit and could proceed. The Lenni Lenape or Delaware Native Americans paved the trail that extends from the Raritan Valley to the Delaware River – Route 27 (Nassau and Stockton Streets in Princeton). I took a course about the Lenni Lenape Native Americans, their life and contributions extend throughout New Jersey! Just another case of messing with the truth about those who built and contributed to this nation! Shirley
