An EmbraceRace Community Conversation with Dr. Allison Briscoe-Smith, a child psychologist specializing in trauma and ethnic minority mental health.

REGISTER TO JOIN this free, online, community conversation happening this coming Tuesday, January 23rd, at 5:30 pm PT/ 8:30 pm ET.

Why We Gather. How can we raise children of color who love themselves even as they hear the US president refer to Haiti, El Salvador and African countries as “sh*thole” countries – while calling for more immigration from “countries like Norway”? How do we nurture children who remain resilient in the face of injustice, whether to themselves or others, children able to mount meaningful responses to injustice even when that’s scary and hard to do? Join this EmbraceRace Community Conversation on Resilience with child psychologist and EmbraceRace friend, Dr. Allison Briscoe-Smith. We’ll spend most of our time together responding to your questions, concerns, and suggestions.

We look forward to seeing you online on January 23rd at 5:30 pm PT/8:30 pm ET. Guardians, parents, teachers, social workers, uncles, grandmothers – you’re all invited. Registering ensures that you will receive the after-event recording and resources whether you attend live or not.
