Below are the upcoming events in the YWCA Stand Against Racism effort:

Stand Against Racism: Thought Provoking Talks 

A social justice workshop featuring four distinguished speakers (Dr. Jianping Wang, Dr. Evelyn Dowell, Noemi de la Puente, and Shirley Satterfield) who will talk about their personal experiences with racism, and how it affects people and the world today. The second half of the Talks will lead into small facilitated discussion groups to come up with solutions to the questions posed by the speakers at the end of their talks.

Art Show (Poster Making Competition Winners Announced)

When: April 27, 2018, 4:00 PM
Where:
Princeton Public Library. Participants must be present in person to win.

A jury will choose the winners of the Poster Making Competition at the Art Show. Artists must be present in person to win. The first prize is $150, and two runners ups will receive $75 each.

Selected works from the competition will be exhibited at the YWCA Princeton from June – August 2018.  Download the poster submission form here.

Open Mic and Youth Rally

After the art show and the results of the poster making competition are announced, featured speakers and poets will assemble for an open mic and youth rally. Everyone is invited to join us.
