Kidsbridge invites youth in grades 3-8 in New Jersey to participate in the
First Annual Allison Vandal UPstander Challenge.
What is this, you ask? To honor the memory of Allison Vandal, a very creative and giving teen who left us far too soon, this challenge is meant to encourage youth to be creative and giving as well.
2018 Theme: HELPING HANDS*
Art Forms: Poetry and Visual Arts
Deadline: May 31, 2018
As Allison inspired and helped others, youth are encouraged to share
what inspires them. Helping Hands. How can kids:
… Help others?
… Stand up for those who need support?
… Curtail bullying and being mean?
… Be inclusive rather than exclusive?
… Encourage empathy and kindness?
… Go from being bystanders to becoming UPstanders?
Top selections will be featured in a compilation website used to inspire others.
