Slavery and Emancipation Laws in 19th Century New Jersey, June 19, 2018

Come celebrate Juneteenth, marking the official end of slavery in the United States, at the New Jersey State Library with a lecture on Slavery in 19th Century New Jersey.   We’ll be discussing slavery and slavery laws in New Jersey in the 19th Century (1800’s).  The class is designed to provide historical context and background information for those working on genealogical research during this time period.  Registration required.  Click here.
