Join us for a Soul Food Dinner hosted by the Racial Justice Initiative of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Washington Crossing, with assistance from Hope Rises Up, in support of the Stoutsburg Sourland African American Museum (SSAAM). The evening will bring community members together to support the founding of our region’s newest museum.

The Stoutsburg Sourland African American Museum  will help to educate all of us on the rich and important history of the African American community in the Sourland region. We are so grateful to SSAAM for creating this amazing resource in our region, we want to be able to support them to reach their goals!

Tickets are $20 per person for a full meal, including dessert. Children under 3 are free. After a delicious dinner, everyone is invited to attend the talk given by experts from SSAAM on the rich and important history of Soul Food. The talk will held in the sanctuary at approximately 6PM. Dessert will be served immediately following. Dessert only tickets (which include the talk) are available for $10 per person.

In order to make this a true community dinner, the Racial Justice Initiative of UUCWC is sponsoring seats for those who would be otherwise unable to attend. If you would like to attend, but the cost is a hardship, please email soulfoodforssaam@gmail.com.

The on-line silent auction will go live on Friday, June 22. To donate an item or service, please email soulfoodforssaam@gmail.com.

Please follow SSAAM on Facebook to stay in the loop, and visit their website to learn more!
