The North Star & Out From Slavery, Film and Discussion, February 24, 2019

At 4 pm on Sunday, February 24, the Acme Screening Room (25 S Union St, Lambertville, NJ 08530, Phone: (609) 483-5237) will show THE NORTH STAR, the story of Benjamin “Big Ben” Jones, a runaway slave who escaped to freedom in Bucks County. Local filmmaker Thomas K. Phillips will lead a discussion of his film.

Then local historian and third-generation Doylestown resident, Doreen Stratton, will present OUT FROM SLAVERY: A Presentation of The Underground Railroad, including the Underground Railroad’s history in Bucks and Montgomery Counties and Philadelphia.
