CAASPortraits1008_0002_Edit2  Princeton professor of psychology Stacey Sinclair and postdoctoral scholar Travis Riddle compared county-by-county data on racial bias with statistics on school punishment. Their results showed that bias and racial disparities are strongly correlated. The summary article in the Princeton Alumni Weekly references the authors’ article in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

Professor Sinclair will talk about her research on Racial Disparity in school-based discipline at the Princeton Board of Education Equity Committee on Monday, June 10 at 7pm in the Valley Road (25 Valley Road, Princeton), Main Conference Room. There will also be a presentation from our PPS African American Affinity group.
