The Negro Motorist Green Book Talk, September 18, 2019

Author and playwright Calvin Ramsey will discuss the creation and history of The Negro Motorist Green Book, the travel guide for African Americans during the Jim Crow era.  The lecture will be at the Arts Council of Princeton, 102 Witherspoon St, Princeton, on September 18 at 7:30 pm, doors opening at 7 pm.  Cost of admission is $35 with an added $15 for those wanting to purchase an autographed copy of Ramsey’s children’s book Ruth and the Green Book.  Tickets can be pre-purchased by sending checks made payable to the Witherspoon-Jackson Historical and Cultural Society, 190 Witherspoon Street, Princeton NJ 08542.  Children 12 and younger are admitted free of charge.
