On Monday, May 4 at 7 pm, Not in Our Town Princeton and the Princeton Public Library will host the first virtual Continuing Conversation featuring Rev. Lukata Mjumbe, pastor of the historic Witherspoon Street Presbyterian Church, speaking on “Sheltering in the Place of Privilege: Legacy & Consequences.”  Rev. Lukata will provide a critical examination of the realities of race, class and public health contradictions of the influenza pandemic of 1918 and COVID-19 in 2020 and offer reflections about the historical legacy, and possible contemporary consequences, of the “Princeton Response” to global pandemics in the 20th and 21st centuries.
