The Lost Souls Public Memorial Project proudly presents the 3rd annual Recitation of Names, an online gathering to honor those sold into permanent slavery by a slave ring run by a corrupt Middlesex County judge who lived in what is now East Brunswick. Nearly 200 African Americans were deceived, some stolen, held captive and then sent to the Deep South. Our grassroots effort to recover this history and do what we can to make it right is at the heart of the Lost Souls Project. Join us for this powerful event in support of building a memorial to the Lost Souls. All ages welcome, all geographies welcome.
