What a disappointing public testimony that highlights the historical context without fully taking responsibility for police officers racist attitudes and behaviors as the sole perpetuators of the current day lynching. White officers must address inherited racist dispositions before social change can begin. On the surface, this appeal sounds like an honorable effort by Cunningham, except he never accepted or acknowledged internal problems of racism within police departments directly. To heal any situation, the problem must be addressed from the origin. In the case of current genocide the answers lie with the common, daily practices of police officers everyday…
