African Drum Circle

FreeThe African American Collaborative and the Trenton Puerto Rican Community & Friends Organization is partnering with several community organizations to bring the experience of a Drum Circle and conversation on the African Heritage of the Bomba Dance in the Diaspora.
The rich discussion will center on how rhythm influences culture and community.
Program
5:30pm – 6:00pm: Doors open, Meet & Greet, and light refreshments
6:00pm – 6:15pm: Welcome
6:15pm – 6:30pm: History of the drums, Bomba and its African heritage, and the influence of rhythm on culture and community
6:30pm – 7:25pm: Drum Circle Demonstration
7:25pm – 7:30pm: Thank you and Closing
