All Stars: Black Baseball in NJ and Beyond Exhibit

This compelling installation features never-before-seen letters from Negro Leagues baseball star Paul “Beetle” Arnold, along with a brand-new oral history video that brings his legacy—and the powerful stories of local African American athletes—to life. Through artifacts, photographs, and personal accounts, All Stars explores the struggle, resilience, and triumph of Black baseball players who helped shape the game against the odds.

Join us this season at the National Historic Register-listed Mt. Zion AME Church to explore the deep-rooted history and contributions of African Americans in Central New Jersey. Our passionate staff and docents are ready to guide you through stories that shaped our region and continue to inspire. There is no cost to visit.
