FolkLIVE: Gospel Music Festival 2026
Celebrate the third Annual FolkLIVE Gospel Music Festival in the heart of downtown New Brunswick at Monument Square Park!
Experience an afternoon of gospel music featuring local, national, and internationally acclaimed artists and more! With roots dating back to the foundation of our nation, Gospel music has been traditionally passed down through generations. This genre has carried African American stories and communities through slavery to the present day and has been a vital vehicle for change. This event is FREE and open to the public.
Take a moment to cool down at The New Brunswick Performing Arts Center (NBPAC) in the Arthur Lewis Theatre. While you’re there, be sure to check out the Crossroad Theatre Company’s pop-up exhibit in the lobby! Find vintage playbills, costumes, awards, and more! *NBPAC’s restrooms will also be available for guests, as will porta-potties throughout the area outside of the venue.
*Don’t forget to bring your lawn chairs!
This event will be hosted by Commissioner Scott McCullum, Toya Beasley, and Deonté Griffin-Quick.
