Dr. William Barber, national leader of the Poor People’s Campaign, will be speaking at a rally at the Lincoln Statue, Newark organized by the national Poor People’s Campaign, the New Jersey chapter of the Poor People’s Campaign, and the People’s Organization for Progress. This event will highlight the national march against poverty that will take place on June 18 in Washington, D.C. The Lincoln Statue is located at the intersection of Springfield Avenue and West Market Street in downtown Newark.
