Witherspoon Street Presbyterian Church in Action: Community Block Party

Join friends old and new at the community celebration.  Not in Our Town Princeton is one of the participating organizations.  Stop by our table at Witherspoon and Quarry Streets to say hello, learn more about our goals and actions, and spin our social justice wheel.

Hosted by the Young Adult Ministry of Witherspoon Street Presbyterian Church. Food, music, children’s activities, and guest speakers from faith, political, and grassroots organizations. Featured speakers include State Senator Andrew Zwicker (LD-16) and Rev. Dr. Charles Boyer, pastor of Greater Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church and founder of Salvation and Social Justice, who will highlight the importance of faith, advocacy, and civic engagement in addressing the pressing challenges facing New Jersey communities.

The Witherspoon Street Presbyterian Church holds a unique place in Princeton’s history. Founded in 1836 by formerly enslaved and free Black members of Nassau Presbyterian Church, WSPC has stood as a beacon of faith, resilience, and justice for nearly two centuries. Today, the congregation continues to advance that legacy by uplifting community voices, advocating for equity, and creating inclusive spaces where all are welcome.
