Race on Campus: Two Responses

Patrick Sims, Vice Provost for Diversity and Climate at University of Wisconsin Madison, responded to a racial incident with a frank and powerful video.  Warning: He reads the note that includes offensive language.  It was slipped under the door of a student who tried to bring attention to campus race problems by being photographed with a sign that depicted Bucky Badger, Wisconsin’s mascot, in a Ku Klux Klan robe.

Yesterday, Princeton University released the trustees report and recommendations in response to student demands for removing Woodrow Wilson’s name from campus buildings.  NPR’s report includes a link to the exhibition about Woodrow Wilson and his legacy now on display at the Woodrow Wilson School.
